Tampa 2009 – Update #3

Pool Party in 15 minutes, except this year it’ll be on the beach. I’m standing on the balcony watching the roadies set up speakers, tables and a floor on the brilliant white sand.

More DC folks! Ed Francell, Kelly Laderoute, Greg and Lemery and Dinah! We have a good crowd here!

We just finished JJ prelims (and Semi’s for Novice, and guess what?!? ALL THREE MUSKETEERS MADE SEMI’S!). Fun! Largest Masters division we’ve ever seen, ever. Musta been 50 Masters women, maybe 35 men, and a lot of them very good! Finally, a Masters division to be proud of! Alla’us Baby Boomers are turning 50 I guess. I had four partners, all of them excellent. Last night was Masters routines, eight couples, and that was great, too.

Last night was also Showcase – 4 couples.

Oh! Beat Goes On just started up on the beach – WOW it’s loud! This is so cool, a rockin’ beach party right on the sand, waves crashing beside us. Funness is happening!

Better go take pitchers.
